PHCbi MCO-171AICUVD-PA Cell-IQ™ Series High Heat Sterilization CO2 Incubator | 5.83 cu. ft. (165 L)
Item#: MCO-171AICUVD-PAThe PHCbi Cell-IQ CO2 incubators provide optimal cultivation conditions with precise CO2 concentration, temperature and humidity while remaining easy to clean and operate. During cell culturing, the inCu-saFe® germicidal interior and SafeCell™ UV-LED continuously protect against potential contaminants. A unique dry heat system sterilizes the incubator interior.
Triple Incubator Protection
The MCO-171AICUVD-PA automatic high heat sterilization CO2 incubator is designed for research applications in medical, government, pharmaceutical, and biotech applications. This dry heat incubator includes three methods of protection against cell culture contamination. In addition to our inCu-saFe chamber material and our new SafeCell UV-LED contamination control, an optional, manually initiated high heat sterilization cycle provides a 180°C (355°F) decontamination process while reducing environmental impact without the need for disposable consumables.
A Continuous Cell Culture Stacking Workflow
From improved insulation that reduces the amount of heat leaving the chamber, better temperature control, and heater configuration, the MCO-171AICUVD-PA incubator can be decontaminated in a stack allowing other incubators to continue operation at set point. Additionally, a stack of incubators allows you to maximize the space within your lab.
Long-Lasting Germicidal SafeCell UV LED Lamp
Our SafeCell UV LED lamp, an environmentally conscious upgrade from our previous model, is located inside the rear duct of the incubator chamber focusing on the water within the humidifying pan. It is easily accessible for removal and cleaning between high heat decontamination cycles and lasts longer than our conventional UV bulb. With an increase in light cycling between door openings and during normal operation, the UV LED bulb performs even better at decontaminating the humidifying pan water allowing for a reduction in the use and costs associated with other consumable methods of decontamination such as HEPA filters. Please see our white paper and technical note on the SafeCell UV LED and its predecessor on its capabilities.
Stacking for Continuous Cell Culturing in a Minimal Amount of Space
Glass wool insulation minimizes heat dissipation from the incubator. This allows one unit to be used for dry-heat sterilization while the other continues normal incubation when two incubators are stacked. Therefore, an entire incubator stack is no longer taken out of commission by the heat of one incubator affecting the performance of the one above or below it.
180°C Dry Heat Sterilization
The new structural design enabling quick in-chamber temperature rising and reducing temperature distribution variations provides dry heat sterilization lasting approximately 11 hours.
Improved Usability
The full-color LCD touch panel allows efficient management of the functions. The USB port next to the panel enables transferring logged data to memory devices. The newly designed incubator has an improved easy-to-grasp handle.
Continuous Improvements in Construction
From a redesigned door handle with reversible door construction to an improved door heater design and dashboard, the MCO-171AICUVD-PA reduces the chance of condensation to form within the chamber and at the inner door as may occur in older styles and generations of incubators without such improved features. With the proper insulation, temperature control, and directed heaters, you can worry less about the chances of contamination becoming a source of contamination in the incubator.
